Salon du Chocolat 2026 at Isetan Shinjuku

February is all about Valentine’s Day.
I visited Salon du Chocolat at Isetan Shinjuku, which is held from January to February.

This year, the event had three parts, and I went to Part 1 and Part 3.

How to Enter

Please check the official website each year, as the entry rules change annually.

This year, only credit card members who won the advance reservation lottery could enter from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
After that, numbered entry tickets were distributed at the venue.
I’m not a card member, so I went in the evening and got a numbered ticket.

For Part 1, I entered about 40 minutes after getting my ticket, which was quicker than I expected.
For Part 3, I arrived after 2 p.m. and waited about two hours.

Part1(2026.1/15~1/20)

Eat-in

Every time, I check the online brochure before I go to see what I want to eat and buy.
This time, I really wanted to try the parfait by Benoît Nihant, so I made sure to check it in advance.
There was no line, so it was served quickly.

It had chocolate on top, with berry ice cream, chocolate ice cream, crushed cookies, and frozen berries inside.
It looked “berry” cute!

The eat-in space was located at the back of the venue, with several small round tables where people could eat while standing.
Depending on the menu, some items could be eaten seated inside the shop.

What I Bought

I bought some chocolates from brands I was interested in.

1.Cacao Sampaka from Spain — The popping chocolate was really fun.

2.A chocolate bar from Vietnam

I’m planning to visit Vietnam this year, so I was curious about it.
The ginger flavor was spicy and had an oriental taste.

3.Chocolates by Alain Ducasse

I had wanted to try them for a while.
The flavor was quite complex, as you would expect from a French chef.

Part3(2026.1/31~2/4&2/7~2/15)

Eat-in

This time, I tried the “Cacao and Strawberry Parfait” by Teal.

There was Thai tea blancmange at the bottom, topped with strawberries and ice cream.
The blancmange was slightly bitter, but when I mixed everything together, it tasted really good.
It reminded me of my trip to Thailand.

What I Bought

1.A bonbon chocolate box using tea from W. Boléro

I’m really into tea, so I was interested in this.
It’s a chocolaterie from Shiga, and everything was stylish and delicious.

2.A tarte au chocolat by Vincent Guerlais.

I loved the crispy, crunchy texture — it was totally my preference.

3.Selection Box Japon

a box featuring new creations and signature chocolates from eight Japanese chefs.
It felt very special and exciting.

My Thoughts

I have visited Salon du Chocolat every year for about five years, and this time was the most enjoyable for me.

I think it was because I picked out what I wanted to buy in advance, and there were more eat-in menu options than usual.
Also, my husband came with me this time, so being able to share our impressions made it even more special.

Due to the rising price of cacao, the cost increases every year, but this annual chocolate festival is definitely worth visiting.
I highly recommend it for chocolate lovers.
